When it comes to glitters and holographic, it’s tough to beat Zoya. They are one of the most popular nail polish brands on the market! They’re also the first company to remove certain toxic ingredients (formaldehyde, toluene, camphor and dibutyl phthalate) from their formula. They also do not test on animals!
Aurora by Zoya is a stunning purple holographic glitter polish that will leave you staring in awe at your nails. Unlike most glitter polishes, it’s very easy to remove and it is very opaque. This is the first Zoya I bought and it’s still is my number one polish!
Another favorite also by Zoya, Storm is a black holographic polish that mirrors the night sky with stars that glisten like rainbows. Planning a cosmic nail design? Then this is the nail polish for you!
If you’ve never heard of this brand, you should check it out now! An indie polish company from Australia, it is one of the most sought out polishes online and until recently, could be tricky to get a hold of. Like many others on this list, it is also vegan!
Oceanic Forces is part of the “Forces” trio (there’s also Cosmic Forces, a stunning purple jelly polish filled with different sizes of glitter and Dark Forces, a black jelly polish filled with silver glitter).
As the name might suggest, Oceanic Forces is a blue/teal jelly polish filled with different sizes and shaped of turquoise glitter. As with some glitter polishes, the bigger glitter pieces must sometimes be ‘fished’ out. This being said, even without fishing out those big glitter pieces, the suspension base of the polish is excellent as you still get a gorgeous dose of glitter after each coat, giving you that ‘jelly sandwich’ design!
Unsurprisingly, another glitter polish made the list! This is one of my newer polishes and one of my more popular ones! Tango by Sparitual is a glittery orange polish that is slightly sheer but looks more opaque with two coats.
I’m not normally a fan of orange polish but it is the perfect summer polish!
SpaRitual is another extremely popular brand as they are completely vegan and, much like Zoya, are Five-free (no formaldehyde, etc). Many of their products are also Certified Organic/Fair Trade.
Next 4 After the break.
An Australian nail polish brand, they do many co-branding and collaborations with other nail polish companies all over the world. They are currently a 3-Free company and there are plans for them to become a 5-Free company, much like Zoya. Their polishes tend to be incredibly creative and unique. One of their most recent lines of polish are designed with the Rocky Horror Picture Show in mind. Yes, you can have the time warp or Frank-n-Furter on your nails!
Solar Flare is one of their recent releases and is a multi-colored scatter holographic polish that seems to change polish depending on where the light hits it! They suggest putting a coat of black polish underneath Solar Flare to get the best effect!
As the name may suggest, A England is based in England! Much of their collections are inspired by English tales, legends and elegance. Most of their collection falls into the holographic category. Their polishes are completely vegan.
Saint George is a part of”The Legend” collection. It’s a dark blue/green holographic polish that is almost demure in its holo effect. This being said, photographs of this polish cannot do it justice. It’s absolutely stunning and an essential for anyone who enjoys holographic polish.
While most nails polish companies enjoy a pun-filled polish name, Ozotic prefers numbers to label their polishes. They are a vegan Australian company and have various types of polishes, including chrome, scattered holo and more! Their polishes can be worn on their own or even layered on top of your favorite polish!
Another holo polish, 609 is a sheer silver polish that isn’t overpowering and can be placed over any polish to create that fabulous holo effect!
A popular brand with many nail professionals, the Vinylux collection by Creative Nail Design has so many gorgeous colors that is can be difficult to choose a favorite! Not only do they not require a base coat, they’re also quite affordable and last over 7 days (a recent study proved that they last longer than Chanel, despite being much less expensive. They are a vegan brand as well.
After much deliberation, I decided that out of all that I own, my top Vinylux is Midnight Swim, a dark blue shimmery polish that looks almost black. It’s both fun and elegant, a nice combination for those who prefer dark polishes.
