Essence quattro eyeshadows are some of my favorite eyeshadow from the drugstore, but it seems that my local Shopper are removing these for the metal glam eyeshadow singles. But on to the review and swatches. The colors in Denim 4.0 or just Denim as its listed on the essence website, is blue smokey quad. The swatches were done without primer or a base. The smallest eyeshadow is a white/silver color, and is a great inner corner highlighter, or lid shade. The largest color is mid tone blue with shimmer. The shade under the white/silver is glittery black, its really shear and a little chunky. The shade is a navy color, its shear as well. The eyeshadow do go on the eye better, but I believe its a the eye primer/base being used. This quad reminded me a lot the discontinued Wet n Wild 8 pan in Blue Had Me At Hello (Why did you have to get discontinued? :'( ) I thought that the white/silver was a dupe of the eyelid shade of the right side of the Wet n Wild, but the Wet Wild (the bottom swatches) is a pure silver shade. The glittery black from the Wet n Wild is darker, more pigmented, and less glittery, but they can look the same when blended out. The last swatch is the right side crease color with are the same color and tone, but the Wet n Wild is more pigment, if can be a good thing or bad thing. Even though I have the Wet n Wild Blue Had Me At Hello, I still recommendation Essences Denim quattro, for a blue based smokey eye, as it only $4 or less if you find it on sale.
